Aunt Amy came to stay with us!

Brody's Aunt Amy came and stayed with us! He was so excited that she was coming! While she was here we went shopping, this is a picture of Brody breaking free from his car seat! He was very glad to get out of that thing ....... I just thought this was a cute picture!

Brody is all ready for his Aunt Amy to feed him! He gets to try applesauce today! Yeppie!

While Amy was here we took a big step! We put Brody in the nursery at church for the first time! I was so glad that Amy was here to hold my hand (thanks Jo)! It was hard but I want Brody to have some friends to play with so it had to be done..... and it was nice to be back in church!! He had a good time in Sunday School and enjoyed seeing other boys and girls his age!

The Easter Bunny came a little early for Brody! Aunt Amy is giving Brody his Easter present that her and Uncle Eric picked out for him.

Wow look at him playing his piano! He was playing a beautiful song!


It was so great to have Amy come and stay with us while she was on spring break! I know that Brody loved it and enjoyed playing with her! He showed her all the new things he can do and laughed at her silly faces! We all had a great time while she was here!


This is Aunt Amy and Uncle Eric's baby! I am sure that Laney has missed having her mom at home and can't wait for her to come back! What a pretty dog she is!

5 months

Ok so I love to take pictures of Brody!
Can you tell?!?! I don't know what I ever did
before I had a digital camera.... I am so glad that I can look and see if the picture is going to be good and if not I can just delete it. I think it is fun to take pictures of him and share them with all of you that look at this. This is just a little part of the fun that Brody had today. This little man is all boy.... he loves to explore new things and eat anything that is in front of him! When he can walk I am going to have my hands full! I don't think I am ready for that yet! We had a lot of fun today on his 5 month Birthday!

Dinner at Uncle Jerm's and Aunt Brandy's

We went over to Uncle Jeremy's and Aunt Brandy's house tonight for dinner and fun. They cooked some great food and we had a good time hearing about their ski trip!

Brody and Marmee hanging out in the back yard at Marmee and Pop's house. We have hung out with Marmee a lot this week since she has been on spring break... it has been a lot of fun and I know Brody has enjoyed spending time with her! Today we went and looked at their new house, we can't wait until it is done! It looks great and will be so exciting to see when they are all moved in.
Brody will be 5 months old tomorrow!! I can not believe it! It seems like he was just turning 4 months old just the other day. He is growing so fast and now weighs 17.5 lb. So needless to say my arms are getting very muscular! He is starting to laugh more and will laugh at the most random things. The hair that he was born with is almost all gone and is now growing back in blond... (I had blond hair when I was a little girl). He can almost sit up on his own, but needs about another month to perfect the skill. He loves to eat and is loving his jumperoo! He will just go to town in that thing! Just this week he started getting up only once a night!!!! YEAH! We are very glad about that!! He is such a cute little boy ... probably the cutest in the whole wide world! We love you Brody Ja!

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Happy St. Patricks Day! Look at the boys wearing their green. Even though Brody was wearing his green I still had to pinch his little cheeks and give him a kiss! We decided to take him outside for a little bit since next week it is going to rain every day! Guess that is spring for ya.

We went over to Nana and Papaw's for a cook out and Brody was able to spend some time outside with Papaw. Brody and Papaw looking at their horses, Sedona and Fancy. This is the first time Brody has seen a horse.
They let him pet their nose.... Brody was not afraid of them at all.


Me and Brody.... he is now at the point where we can start holding him on our hips. This is wonderful because he is getting very heavy!


WOW I finally got him to smile at the camera! Man what a cute picture of the boys!

Little Stud!

This week Brody and I have really enjoyed going outside with this beautiful weather! I am glad I don't have to bundel him up so much anymore. We have noticed him talking more and looking at us when we call his name. It is amazing all the new things he does each week.... he is just growing like a weed!

What a big day for Brody!

When you turn 4 months old there are a lot of new things you can do! Today Brody got to try eating cereal with a spoon like a big boy and he got to play in his new Jumperoo! Wow what a day for a 4 month old! So we put the high chair together and started explaining to him what he was about to do.

He ate it very good and did a good job at swallowing it... much better than I thought he would.

However I don't think he quite understood why I kept taking the spoon out of his mouth! So he got a little angry and said please give me my bottle! NOW!

It is funny if you think about it.... all he knows is a constant flow of food and when I was taking the spoon out of his mouth he was thinking where is my food going!

So after he got a lot out of the bottle we tried the spoon again and this time he did much better! So needless to say..... don't try this again when he is really hungry! (lesson learned!) But I guess that just comes with parenting and doing new things... we both try it and we both learn from it!

This is Brody in his new Jumperoo! Wow I can tell this is going to be a great toy! He can not only jump but he can do a full 180 in this thing and move from side to side..... man this is serious stuff! You can tell by his face that it did not take him long to love this toy!

4 months old!

Brody turned 4 months old this week! Wow how time flys! He is growing so fast that sometimes I look at him and think man when did you get so big! He now weighs 15lb and 11 oz, and is growing out of some of his 3-6 month clothes... ahahah! He loves his tummy time and will stay there for a long time. He has not rolled over yet but I know that will come very soon. He will look at you with those big eyes and give you the biggest smile that will just melt your heart! (yet somehow I still can't catch it on camara) Every now and then he will giggle at you. He loves to eat and is still not sleeping through the night because he is a hungry little boy! (I am sure he will always be a hungry boy). He also loves to pull my hair! Speaking of hair, when he was born he had a lot more hair on his head then he does now... but of course so did I. He loves to talk and is doing it more and more each day. In this picture he is talking to his Lion rug. He enjoys looking at faces so I put him infront of his rug and he was just talking away! How cute! What a joy and a blessing Brody has been to our lives!

Big Boy!

Brody has been practicing sitting up and with the help of his bumbo he can sit up on his own! He has started grabbing things and putting them in his mouth now! We think he might be getting his two top teeth in because of the way he is chewing on everything..... we can only hope they come in soon! :)* What a big boy!

Happy Valentines Day!

Brody's trip to Dallas

This past weekend we were able to vist my grandparents in Dallas, TX. This was Brody's first time to go and see them. We had a great time visiting and eating wonderful food! I know that Brody was very glad he was able to go and see where Mimi and Micaw live. Every time I look at Brody he is either doing new things or getting bigger! It is amazing to see your child learn and do something new. On the way home from this trip Brody had his first laugh! Wow! Just 3and1/2 months ago he was kicking me in the ribs just waiting to come out and see the beautiful world that our God has created! And now I have heard the wonderful sound of his laugh! There is nothing greater then hearing your child laugh for the first time! Brody is playing with his new favorite toy! Thanks Aunt Amy and Uncle Eric!

Brody and Mimi. We were all so glad to be able to do down to Dallas! We all had a great time and enjoyed being able to see some family that we had not seen in awhile.

On the way home Marmee sat next to Brody and was singing songs with him.... this is when he did his fist big laugh! It was so cute to see and hear! As you can see in this picture Brody was having a great time and enjoyed singing with Marmee. What a wonderful little boy!
