4 months old!

Brody turned 4 months old this week! Wow how time flys! He is growing so fast that sometimes I look at him and think man when did you get so big! He now weighs 15lb and 11 oz, and is growing out of some of his 3-6 month clothes... ahahah! He loves his tummy time and will stay there for a long time. He has not rolled over yet but I know that will come very soon. He will look at you with those big eyes and give you the biggest smile that will just melt your heart! (yet somehow I still can't catch it on camara) Every now and then he will giggle at you. He loves to eat and is still not sleeping through the night because he is a hungry little boy! (I am sure he will always be a hungry boy). He also loves to pull my hair! Speaking of hair, when he was born he had a lot more hair on his head then he does now... but of course so did I. He loves to talk and is doing it more and more each day. In this picture he is talking to his Lion rug. He enjoys looking at faces so I put him infront of his rug and he was just talking away! How cute! What a joy and a blessing Brody has been to our lives!

Big Boy!

Brody has been practicing sitting up and with the help of his bumbo he can sit up on his own! He has started grabbing things and putting them in his mouth now! We think he might be getting his two top teeth in because of the way he is chewing on everything..... we can only hope they come in soon! :)* What a big boy!

Brody's trip to Dallas

This past weekend we were able to vist my grandparents in Dallas, TX. This was Brody's first time to go and see them. We had a great time visiting and eating wonderful food! I know that Brody was very glad he was able to go and see where Mimi and Micaw live. Every time I look at Brody he is either doing new things or getting bigger! It is amazing to see your child learn and do something new. On the way home from this trip Brody had his first laugh! Wow! Just 3and1/2 months ago he was kicking me in the ribs just waiting to come out and see the beautiful world that our God has created! And now I have heard the wonderful sound of his laugh! There is nothing greater then hearing your child laugh for the first time! Brody is playing with his new favorite toy! Thanks Aunt Amy and Uncle Eric!

Brody was able to meet his great Uncle Johnny for the first time! He was very glad to get to meet him!

Brody and Mimi. We were all so glad to be able to do down to Dallas! We all had a great time and enjoyed being able to see some family that we had not seen in awhile.

On the way home Marmee sat next to Brody and was singing songs with him.... this is when he did his fist big laugh! It was so cute to see and hear! As you can see in this picture Brody was having a great time and enjoyed singing with Marmee. What a wonderful little boy!

Brody's 3 month pictures

We went and got Brody's 3 month pictures done yesterday and I think they went very well! Brody did a great job and was very good while we were there! I think that she got some good pictures that really tell who Brody is at this point in his life. The one above is one of our favorites because it shows how big Brody has gotten. We also like it because of the cute little hat that he is wearing! ( I will be very sad when these green pants do not fit him anymore because I love them on him)
Brody would not smile at the photographer, so she could not get a picture of him looking at the camera and smiling so we thought this picture was good because it shows his cute little smile..... he is smiling at Ja in this pic.
In this picture I think he is thinking.... what are you doing lady! The photographer was trying very hard to get him to smile and I think he just thought.... you are weird! :-)

In this picture he is looking at me and thinking.... mom what is this on my head and what are you doing. I was making some silly face I am sure. I think it is a cute picture because it shows off his muscular body! :-)

This week Brody and I have been stuck inside because of a big ice storm that hit Oklahoma.... so we got out some of his new toys and started to play with them.... or should I say I started to play with them and Brody watched.... however as you can tell in these pictures Brody's interest grew as we were playing with one of his toys. It has been a good week because we are now getting on a schedule and right now I think I have him figured out.... I know that will soon change though :-)

He just stared at it while I was hitting it and making it sing the ABC's. Once you stop hitting it the music goes away.
Now he seems to like it and was very interested in it and wanted it to continue singing..... this is a great toy!

WOW

I had to put this piture on here because Brody has been having some truble with his tummy time lately. However this week the light must of turned on because he has been doing great! Today he lifted up his head and held it for a long time! I bet it won't be long until he can roll over. It is very cute to see. I thought this was a good picture of how much he is lifting up his head now.

I love this picture because Brody's face is pricless! He does not know what to think about this and he is looking at us.... like what are you doing to me! One day he will not like us for taking this picture... but I love it and always will!

Uncle Eric is having fun with Brody ... he loves it when you touch his nose! He will give you a great smile! It is a lot of fun to see him smile at you. Each day he smile's more and more!
Brody is siting in his new Bumbo chair that Marmee and Pop's gave him..... I don't think he is reay for this yet, but he will love it when he is!

Brody will have so much fun with this toy! It will be fun for him to learn how to stack the rings!

Merry Christmas!

This was Brody's first Christmas and it was fun and exciting for him! He got a lot of good gifts and had a geat time with the family! Brody was so excited about his new toys..... as you can see in this picture.

Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas

Brody went and saw Santa today! He was wide awake for the event and was very excited! We had to waite in a long line but Brody did not care, he was just to excited to see Santa. We told him that if he was a good little boy that Santa would bring him some Christmas presents...... so he decided to be on his best behavior. :-) Now Brody knows who is going to deliver his presents on christmas morning. It was a fun day!

Brody is so good about taking pictures but you can tell in these that he is saying .... come on mom lets get on with it I am tired of this! But what he must learn and he will... is that I am a picture taker and he is going to have his picture taken! :) What a cute little boy if I do say so myslef!

Merry Christmas!

Brody is now 8 weeks old and as you can tell in this picture he is beginning to smile! I find myself doing the silliest things to get him to smile and sometimes they work and other times they don't. Even if he is not smiling I am cracking up at myself! :) I can't wait until he is laughing at me as well.

We are getting ready for Christmas and are very excited about having Brody here this year! We are going to put out some cookies and milk so that Santa will leave him some good presents!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow! This was Brody's first time to be out in the snow! I know he loved it and you can see that in the picture of me holding him. :) When he gets older we will have to take him sledding and skiing and I am sure he will love it when it snows! It is a pretty snow and good for making snowmen and having a snowball fight.... however we just went out with Brody for a quick pic and then went back inside to get all warm and cozy again. It is a lot of fun to have him experience new things..... even if he does not realize that he is experiencing them.
