Well I am a little behind on my posting but oh well. :) Last weekend my sister, Eric, and Drew came in town for a visit. We had a lot of fun going to a fun new ice cream place, going to the zoo, and playing outside at my parents house! We were so glad the weather was nice and that it was not too hot at the zoo!!! The kids loved seeing all the animals and even got to eat some yummy treats while we were there! We had a great time!

While we were there a lady from the zoo brought out an owl and sat down on a park bench. It was really cool to see an owl so up close and we were able to learn a lot about them! Brody loved being able to ask the zoo trainer questions and learned that an owl can not move his eyes he can only move his head! We also learned that their hearing is better then their eye sight! Interesting!
We got to see the Elephants up close and personal as well. We saw them eating a snack! It was really cool for the kids to be able to see this!
I like this picture even though the picture quality is not very good.... but it is cute of Pops and Brody!

Jason and I got some free tickets to our zoo and they included free cotton candy and a coke! So of course we had to let the kids sample it and man did they love it!!

Kaylee was not afraid of any of the animals and wanted to go right up to them and pet them, so of course she loved the petting zoo! Brody is much more reserved then she is. It is fun to see their different personalities!
After a long day at the zoo someone was tuckered out and sound asleep on me!
We came home to my parents house and after some much needed naps we had tons of fun outside playing in the water!! Drew loved playing with the paintbrushes in the water!
Brody loved playing with the saving cream and so did daddy...... :)
Even Kaylee got in on the shaving cream action!
And the final result!!!! Shaving cream fights or just painting your body with shaving cream is always so much fun in the summer!! :)

It really was a fun filled weekend. I think we all enjoyed ourselves as much as the kids did. Can't wait for our next visit!
I think going to the zoo was a great idea and I thank the city for the free tickets. What a great family week-end. Love the pics! Next time instead of shaving cream we will do canned whip cream. Won't that be fun? :-)
