Kaylee sitting up, Kiddie Park, and Bowling

I think this is just a cute picture of Kaylee. :)

She is now sitting up on her own and she is really good at it. It is like a whole new world opens up when they learn to sit up on their own. She is at the point now what she wants to play with more toys and is really interested in what I am doing when I am playing with them. :)

Kaylee loves to play and has really enjoyed sitting up so that she can play with some of her toys. When you lay her down she gets really mad because she does not want to lay down anymore!

I think one of her main motivations to sitting up is to watch this little guy play!! She will watch him all day long and is really interested in what he is doing! He is really good about playing with her and bringing her toys to play with. :)

We have been able to do some really fun things with both sets of Grandparents lately! We went bowling for the first time with Brody. My mom came too which was a lot of fun! We also went to a cool kiddie park in one of our neighboring towns with Ja's parents, Holly, Ryan and Lilly. So we have been keeping busy and having a blast!

Here we are at the Kiddie Park-
Brody- Oh my gosh mom there is the TRAIN!!! CHOO CHOO!! Can we say obsessed?? I don't know what it is about trains that make this boy so happy but he loves them! :) He was extremely excited to see that there was a train that we could ride here!

Kaylee hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa.
Brody and Lilly loved riding on the swings that they had! This is a really cool park because admission is free and every ride is only 25 cents! Yes that is right! Now the rides are a little older and may not be the new fancy rides like some places have, but to my 2 1/2 year old he did not care-- and my pocket book really liked it as well!!! :)

Grandma and Grandpa got to take a ride with Brody on the train! This was his second time to ride it and he was so excited to be able to ride it again!

Aunt Holly, Uncle Ryan were riding on this ride with Lilly. It was fun to be able to do this together and have the kids ride some rides together.

Grandpa and Brody enjoying the ride!

Family pic at the park. We had a great time and will definetely be going back in the future!

Bowling-

We took Brody bowling for the first time and it was so much fun! He did a great job and really enjoyed watching the ball hit the pins and watching his ball come out of the machine. :) Here he is using the ramp.

Kaylee watching everyone bowl.

Watching his ball go down and hit the pins!

Marmee and Kaylee having a good time at the bowling alley!

We went to a nursery and looked around at all the pretty plants they had. It is a cool place that lets children ride on tricycles while their parents shop. Brody had a good time riding on a tricycle! We had a great day and finished it off with a yummy meal at McAlesters. :)

A weeeknd of fun!

This past weekend we were able to spend some time at Jason's parents house. They got this really cool play ground for all of their grandchildren! Brody loved it and had a blast playing on it!

Lilly also loved it and really enjoyed swinging! Here she is with her Uncle Jason -- you can tell she is having a blast!

Kaylee and I swinging on the swing.

We tried to get a picture of all the grandchildren but we did not get a pic of all of them looking at the camera. :) Brody was done after this picture and would not sit still for us to take another one where Lilly is looking.
Brody doing one of his favorite things with Grandpa... watching trains on the computer. It does not matter what kind of train it is he just likes to see them moving and here them. :) Silly boy!

Jason's sister Heather and her husband Drew were able to come up and visit us one last time before little Luke is born. We had a shower for her and they got lots of cool baby things! We can't wait to meet him and know that they are going to be great parents! The picture above is of us (me, Heather, Brandy who is also pregnant and Holly) at the shower.
Brody was really tired and fell asleep on the couch. Now for some this may not seem like a big deal, but I really can't remember a time that he has ever done this except when he was sick. He is always on the go and does not take a nap unless he is in a bed. He was having a lot of fun on the cool play ground and was sacked out!

We were able to get some really cool books for the kids (Thanks so much Kristin and Michael!!) so here they are reading them with Aunt Heather and Uncle Drew. We had a great time while they were here and enjoyed looking at their 3d pictures they got done! Can't wait to see him in person! :)

A weekend with my family!

My sister, Eric, and our little nephew Drew came into town over the weekend. We had a great time hanging out and playing outside! My mom had some fun water games planed and some water guns for Brody to play with. Believe it or not this used to be my super soaker when I was little! Still works like a charm and he had a great time playing with it!

He also loved this water gun because it was a lot easier for him to shoot. :)

He had his first experience of playing with water balloons. I was not sure how he would like them, but he had a blast throwing them at everyone!!!

He loves trains but he also really likes tractors. :) I got to play around with my sisters and Eric's new camera!! I really liked how you could capture a cute pic so easily. He likes to sit on these tractors and pretend that he is driving them, however when you ask him if he wants to ride on it when it is going, he declines every time!

Kaylee has almost mastered sitting up on her own, however she needs about another month to perfect the skill. :) I think this stage is so funny, she will lift her head up when she is on her back because she wants to sit up but just has not figured out how to do it.
I found this cute little head band at a craft show this weekend, she is losing all of her hair and the new hair coming in is very light and fine. So I had to find something that I liked so that she could still wear her bows. :)
Any guesses on what the head band is really meant for???? It is a common thing that we use and some creative person made it into a head band!! :)

Practicing sitting up with Aunt Amy.
We took our family pictures while they were here and overall I think it was a very pleasant experience! All the kiddos did great and since our photographer is a mom she understood how to take pics of the kids! I can't wait to see how they turned out!

Marmee and Pops holding Drew while Brody is entertaining him. :)

Me with Drew. It is so fun to talk to babies when they smile at anything you say! He is smiling a lot now and it is so cute!! This was his first trip away from home and I think he did really good!!

We had a party with my Grandparents, Aunt Cindy, and our Uncle Ken (my dad's family). Here Kaylee is spending some time with Gammy. It is a lot of fun to see my kiddo's with my Grandparents. I am so glad that they get to spend time with them.

My Aunt Cindy getting some snuggle time with Kaylee. I think this is a cute pic of them! Glad we were able to see ya when you were in town Cindy!

Brody loved jumping off of my parents deck .... what a boy!! I know Brody is just counting the days until Drew gets older and can do this with him! :) We had a great weekend and I am so glad the weather was so nice where we could spend so much time outside!

5 months old, Soccer, Fun with Marmee, and our new Pool!!

Kaylee is now 5 months old and is growing like a weed! :) She has started eating rice cereal and just thinks it is ok. She still prefers her milk, and lets us know it when she does not want to eat her cereal! It seems like yesterday Brody was eating in the high chair!

I think this is such a sweet picture of her! She has the most defined lips and blue eyes. We think her eyes are going to stay blue or turn hazel like Ja's. We will see. She is now starting to get her two bottom teeth in and likes to bite on everything in site!

Here are some pictures of Brody at 5 months old. I think they look a lot alike! Brody's blonde hair was just starting to come in at this age and so is Kaylee's.

Brody has started taking soccer lessons. It has been really good for him and gotten him interested in something else besides trains!! He is getting better and better at kicking the ball and really likes doing it with Ja. One of the games he plays is red light green light- the goal is for them to kick the ball while playing. It is fun watching him play, knowing that this is just the beginning of many games we will watch him play!

Getting ready to play red light green light in his really big soccer jersey.

We went to a fun children's museum in town with my mom. They had a play kitchen, play store, and place where you can get hair cuts and a really fun climbing gym. Brody had a great time and we were glad to be able to do something different! Good idea mom!!

My mom and him at the top of the gym. He loved playing on this and going all the way to the top!

Kaylee and I in the black room. This was her favorite part! She really liked to watch all the lights that they had in there.

Brody had fun singing on the microphone that they had. What a little ham. :)

We got a new swimming pool for the back yard. It is a lot bigger than our old one and way more fun!!! :) I really like it because I could put Kaylee in here and she could just chill out while watching Brody! She also liked swimming in the pool and having Brody push her around in her turtle! I think this pic of her is so funny!!! She looks like she is ready to get a tan and some cold grapes!! (inside joke with my sister) :)*

Brody really likes being in here and practicing the things we are learning at swim class. He is getting braver and braver in the pool. Last year we would go to our city pool all the time, however since Kaylee is just a baby it is harder for me to do that alone. So this is a good alternative for now. :) We are also practicing our smile for the camera since we are going to take some pictures!! Here he is giving me a -- I will smile for you mom because you won't leave me alone until I do, but I really don't want to smile. :)

Our 4th of July!

Our nephew Drew-
We were able to go to visit my sister, Eric and our new nephew Drew over the 4th! We have not seen them since Drew was born, so it was a lot of fun seeing him a little older! We had a great time and were so glad that we could hang out with them and play with Drew!!

They had just moved into their new house right before we came, which has a cool play area in their backyard that Brody just loved playing on!! He wanted to be outside all day long and loved going up the rock wall and down the slide! I can see Drew having a lot of fun on this in the near future!

Here Aunt Amy is reading a book to Kaylee. It was fun and different to have two babies around! It seemed like one was always sleeping or eating! :)

I love this cute pic of Kaylee! Her eyes still have not changed yet so we are wondering what color they are going to be. Brody's were brown when he was this age. I think this picture shows off her pretty blue eyes and cute chubby cheeks! :)

Me with my little nephew!

It was fun entertaining both of the babies. Kaylee would just stare at Drew... she was probably thinking who are you?? You are my size!!

Aunt Amy made this fun train town for Brody to play with! He had a good time playing with it and taking his trains to all of his favorite places that were on here. There is a Krispy Kreme, Ja's work, church, Mardels, and of course Toy's R Us! :) Thanks Amy for making this for him, he loves it!!!

Just a sweet brother/sister moment! Brody is one of Kaylee's favorite things to watch! She is constantly looking at him and watches his every move! We pray that they will have a good relationship and always enjoy spending time together!

Cute pic of Kaylee in her 4th of July dress!

We attempted to get a cousin pic on the 4th. After many tries this is the best we got! I think it is pretty good for having two babies and a toddler! It is pretty funny because Brody did not want to sit there anymore, he wanted to go outside and play. Kaylee did not understand what was going on and again was fascinated with Drew-- and is only wearing one shoe (there was no time to get the other one back on her foot because they were getting restless!!) And Drew is about to start crying because he just wants to take a nap!! :) We are going to be taking family pictures when my sister comes to visit us next time so we got a little taste of what that is going to be like!! :) Lets just say if we get one where everyone is happy and looking at the camera it will be a miracle!

On the 4th we went to a really fun festival where Brody could jump in these blow up toys all he wanted and it did not cost a thing! Here Aunt Amy is in there jumping with him. :)

Of course there was a make shift train there that we just had to ride!! He had a good time on that and liked it more then the blow up toys. :) We also were able to eat some yummy fair food!!

Brody was able to do some sparklers and poppers which he loved doing!

Thanks Amy, Eric and Drew for letting us come and stay with you all over the Holiday! We had a great time and really enjoyed seeing your new house and spending some time with our nephew!
