What we have been doing.......

We have been driving many different cars trying to find one to buy.... and Brody has helped test drive them. He thinks it is a big treat to sit in the drivers seat of a car! :) Here he is driving our car. Don't worry we never let him be in there alone. :)
Again here he is driving a truck with daddy! Even at the play ground he goes for the cars!

We were able to spend a day with Brody's very cute cousin Lilly! We had a great time walking to a park, eating lunch, and shopping!!

We also went swimming today! Again Brody found the steering wheel and loved playing with it! The water was pretty cold so this was his favorite thing to do! :)

He also liked playing in the water that shoots up from the ground. :)

We have been pretty busy and have loved being able to go outside and play!

Flowers and the Zoo

This picture was taken last year at around this time. Interesting to see how much he has changed and how much he still looks the same. :)

It is not very often that I can get Brody to pose for a picture!! He normally is to busy and won't stand still. However he was ready to pose for this picture for me and he was kind of smiling! :)

He loves to smell things. So you can imagine how much he likes to smell flowers! :) I had to get a pic of him going up to some flowers to smell them. It is very cute how he does this!

THE ZOO

We wanted to go to the zoo at least one time when it was not extremely hot! So we took Brody to see all the different animals and we all had a great time!! In the picture above he is not to sure about riding the marry -go- round. :) But he did it and I think he had a good time on it. :) He did not enjoy it as much as the train ride that we got to do! He LOVED that and if it had not of cost money we would of done it again! :)

Weekend Fun!

Well as you can see in the picture our weekend did not start out so good! Ja got in an accident when coming home from two of his cousins graduation. He was looking for his entrance ramp and when he looked back infront of him he saw a long line of cars slamming on their brakes... unfortunately he was not able to stop in time. Praise the Lord he is ok and was wearing his seat belt!! His air bags popped out, so he has some bruising from that and he hit is knee on the dash, but other then that he is fine!! He thought the windshield was busted in but upon further review we saw that it has a big crack in it on the passenger side, the drivers door will not open all the way, and there is glass from a broken cup in the car. We are not sure what the prognosis is for the car we are still waiting for the insurance company to determine that.

The rest of the weekend was great! Brody's Aunt Heather came in town so we got to spend a lot of time with her and the rest of the fam.

Brody was so cute with Lilly! They got to spend a lot of time together and I think he is starting to understand that she is now a part of the family and that Aunt Holly and Uncle Ryan are her mom and dad. In the picture above he is saying hi to her. :)

What a sweet picture! We put the two of them in the chair together.... it was so funny to see Brody's reaction to when we put her beside him. He looked at us and was sitting very still afraid that he was going to hurt her. :) Then he gave her a kiss and of course we all had our cameras out taking pics of the two of them! I guess all the time's that we have said gentle have sunk in because he did not want to hurt her. :) So cute! They are going to be great friends one day you can already tell!

We had a great weekend and enjoyed spending time with our family!!

Camping with the fam!

We went on Brody's first camping trip this past weekend with my family!! We all had a great time and enjoyed the outdoors! My parents have taken my sister and I camping our whole lives and we have gone to many cool places! They have a pop-up trailer and it is really nice and cozy. I had my concerns about taking Brody camping.... I new he would do great outside it was the sleeping I was worried about. Turns out that he adjusted to everything and he slept great! Yeah! We went to a place called Devil's Den in Arkansas. It is a beautiful camp ground and has many things to do while you are there. We saw a beautiful waterfall, went down into a cave, went on a very cool trail, and enjoyed the outdoors!

This is Brody playing on our bed. He had a great time running around on it and falling down on our pillows! :)

Brody has been very into driving cars!!! He likes to climb into peoples cars and mess with all the many buttons that are in there. Here he is in Uncle Eric's car. He had a great time!!!

This is one of the waterfalls that we saw. It is so beautiful! Brody loved throwing rocks into the water and watching them splash.

Jason down in a cave. They had many caves that you could go through... however we just went through one. It was totally dark except for the flashlights and very narrow. I did not really enjoy it....... it was to tight of a space for my enjoyment!

This is me, my dad, and my sister in the cave. It does not look like it here but it is totally dark here. This is one of the only big openings in the cave.... the rest of it you were trying to squeeze through what seemed like a tiny little crack in the wall. :)

We took this truck for Brody to play with and we were so glad we did because he loved it! He had a great time being outdoors and with family!

18 months old!!

I thought I would update the blog by showing some pictures that I have taken in the last few weeks! I know what you all might be thinking... man does she ever go anywhere with out her camera?!?! :) The answer is yes... however I like to have it with me so that I can put some new pictures on the blog and you never know when there might be a Kodak moment!! :) Brody is now 18 months old and I would of never guessed that at 1 and 1/2 years old that he would be doing as much as he is!!

We went to the park and had tons of fun!! Ja is taking Brody up the stairs that are not really made for his size of kids!
Jason is trying to teach Brody how to swing in the big boy swing. He was not to sure about having to hold on however he has now mastered the skill!! We have been practicing with him at home and after falling off once (he was fine no worries) I think he now knows why we insist on him holding on!! :)

Feeding the ducks has become quite the pass time these days!! Brody will grab some bread put it in his mouth and then give some to the ducks! :) This duck must of been very hungry because it was really close to where we were! (Don't worry I had a firm grip on both Jasmine and Brody!!!)

Here we are having a picnic on our drive way! It was fun to be able to eat outside!!

I wanted to get a good pic of his face so that you could see his first major boo boo. He was chasing bubbles on the driveway and fell down. Poor little guy!

He was a big trooper when I went to pick out some flowers!! He loved being able to smell all of them! :)

Because he was so good I took him on a reward and let him sit on some tractors!! :)

Kids night!

Tonight we decided to go to the park and play. While we were there Brody asked to go and see the ducks! Yes it is becoming a "thing" with him. :) Just like he asks to go and see the tractors every time we are at Wal-mart, Lowes or Sam's... every time we are at this park he wants to go and see the ducks! :) So we headed over to the ducks.

We did not have any food to feed them, but I don't think that bothered Brody. He could of watched them all day! I think this is a cute picture of him and Ja!!

Then we went to Kids night at Chick fil la. It was a lot of fun and Brody got to paint a fish and eat a free ice cream cone! Can't get much better than that!

He picked the colors and we painted it together. :)

Daddy's night!!

Well, this is Jason and I thought I would blog a little bit. Emily works on wednesday nights so I always get that night now to hang out with Brody and have fun. It is always neat to be able to have this time to play together. So here are a few pictures from last week.

Here Brody is playing with his truck. He loves his trucks!! Playing with trucks on guys night. Now that makes sense.

Brody loves to play hide and seek so we played that for a long time on wednesday. This is a picture of him laying down on the couch after playing. He was worn out and of course, so was Daddy.

This is one of my favorite pictures. You know, I always worry about am I doing everything right, making sure he gets a bath and brushes his teeth and eats dinner, etc. This picture makes me feel good and he is saying "Hey Dad, you are doing a great job and I had a fun time hanging out with you tonight." Well, Brody makes it really easy on me, he is a lot of fun to play with and I look forward to Wednesday nights every week.
