A busy week!

We have been really busy around here lately! Since Brody was starting school Jason and I decided to let him sleep in a tent in the living room. He of course loves this and always enjoys when he gets to do this! It means staying up late, watching a movie, and sleeping with Dad in the tent!

It was a great way to end the summer!

Ja and Brody-

His first day of school pics are a little to be desired but oh well. I guess it just shows his personality right now! :) He had a great day at school and really liked his new class!

We had to say goodbye to some very dear friends of ours this past week! To let the kids say goodbye we got together at Chick fil-a and ate dinner and played in the play area. This was a treat for Kaylee since she has not gotten to play in that area that much! She loved it of course and of course loved the balloon that she got there as well!

Saying goodbye to Jocelyn!

Over the past 3 years Julia and I have gotten together at least every other week if not every week to let the kids play together! I have enjoyed her friendship and how close our children have gotten to each other. We have done many things together over the years like put our kids in a little gym together.......

gone to many parks, malls play areas, and anywhere we can possibly think of to get out some energy!
We have gone to each others houses and let the kids run rampid .....

We have put the kids in swim lessons together and have enjoyed each others company while our children play together! She has taught me many things about being a mom, wife, and friend! We will miss them dearly!

Jasmine and Brody on our last playdate...... at least until they come and visit!!!!!

*** Our blog is going private next week if you have not e-mailed me to be on the list yet, our e-mail address is in a post below. Thanks!

Family trip-

We took a mini vacation to Branson with my family. It was of course a lot of fun! We stayed in a really nice condo that overlooked the lake and swimming pool! It was beautiful! Thanks Kristin for the recommendation we loved it!!
Ja and Brody on the patio of our condo.
Marmee and Brody enjoying the view.

We went swimming one night and even though it was hot outside we were all shivering in the pool. Kaylee was enjoying herself and relaxing! So cute!

All the cousins together at the pool.

We took a family pic right when we got to Silver Dollar City. It is the best time to take it when the kids are all still happy. I have tried before to take them when we are leaving the park and that is always a BIG mistake!

Family Pic

Amy, Eric, and Drew

They have a really cool swinging bridge there that you can walk on. I remember going on this when I was a kid!!

Drew's first time to ride the frogs! I think he liked them!! He did not cry and was taking it all in. I think it is always fun to watch kids ride the rides for the first time!

Brody and I always like to go on the Tea cups! I do not mind them as long as I look out while they are spinning around in circles! He loves them!!

One of the main reasons we choose this time to go to SDC was because the Backyardigens were going to be there!!!! Brody loves them and we thought he would love to meet them! He of course did!! I think this picture of Paublo hugging him is so cute!!! He has the 5 Backyardagens stuffed animals that he loves to play with so I know this was really fun for him to meet them in person!!!

Because Brody watches them on TV and has their stuffed animals Kaylee is very familiar with them and knows all of their names! However she was not to sure about seeing them up close and personal! I think she would of preferred to see them from a distance! :)

Drew did not wait in the very long line to meet them but they were still friendly enough to give him a high five!

Kaylee is obsessed with balloon and when she saw these balloons at SDC she really wanted one!!! It was very cute how she would carry it around in her hand like she was very proud of it and really liked it! Thanks mom and dad for the balloon that is still floating in our living room!!

Drew and Kaylee played in the water before we left. We had a great time while we were there and we all decided that we were not there long enough! Can't wait to go back!!!

Fun with Aunt Amy and Drew!

Last week my sister and Drew were able to come down and visit us all week!!! We loved having them here and were able to do so many fun things while they were here! We had planed to go to a friend of the family's pool on the first day that they were here, but Drew got sick and was not feeling to good. So Jason and I took the kids. It was not as fun without them but.... we still had a good time. :)
Kaylee is Little Miss Dare Devil in the pool!!! We really have to watch her like a hawk!!! She would just go right into the water with no fear even if we were not there, so we have to be with her at all times until she learns how to swim! Brody on the other hand is a little more cautious and does not really enjoy when we try and make him do new things in the pool, like walk in the shallow end where he can touch! Or jump off the side of the pool even though we are right there to catch him! He just takes a little more prodding then she does. I think they both can learn from each other. :)

We went to visit me grandparents and had a really good time talking with them!

My grandpa with the kids.

My mom and dad got a new bouncy house for the kids to play in! It is GREAT!!! They loved it and got out some good energy with it!!!

We were making Kaylee's hand print in some cement. The look on her face and the hand on her head just says it all!! :)

Marmee made some yummy Popsicle's for the kids!! They all loved them while we had a little splash time outside.

We played with whip cream and some little lady wanted it squirted in her mouth! She is such a little ham! *This only happens at grandparents houses! We never let her do this at home* - Just to clarify. :)

The kids enjoyed some fun rides at the mall!

We had so much fun with Amy and Drew while they were here and we can't wait for them to come back!

Happy 4th of July!

Hope everyone had a good 4th! We had lots of fun eating some yummy food, popsicles, playing outside, and watching a wonderful fireworks show! I thought it only right that the kids have the red, white, and blue popsicles on the 4th!! This was Kaylee's first store bought popsicle and she LOVED it!! She does not get juice yet (I am trying to hold her off as long as possible, I started too early with Brody) so I am sure this was a very yummy treat to her! I thought the kids looked cute in their 4th of July outfits!! Thanks mom and dad for getting them for them!

We went over to Grandma and Grandpa's for dinner and fireworks. The kids had a lot of fun playing with their cousins and watching the fireworks show. I am not sure what face Brody is making here but it is cracking me up!

Kaylee loves to go up stairs and likes to do it all by herself! I am impressed that she can now go up the ladder by herself! Little Miss Independent!

Grandpa had some tanks for the kids to enjoy in the daylight. Here Brody and Lilly are helping him set it up.
They were not too sure of them at first!

Kristin brought a fun bounce house for the kids to play in! They had a blast!! Aunt Brandy went in to help Lilly get used to it. By the end of the night the kids were all jumping in it and having a great time!! (I think I need one of these at our house!!!) :)
