We have been really busy around here lately! Since Brody was starting school Jason and I decided to let him sleep in a tent in the living room. He of course loves this and always enjoys when he gets to do this! It means staying up late, watching a movie, and sleeping with Dad in the tent!
It was a great way to end the summer!
Ja and Brody-
His first day of school pics are a little to be desired but oh well. I guess it just shows his personality right now! :) He had a great day at school and really liked his new class!
We had to say goodbye to some very dear friends of ours this past week! To let the kids say goodbye we got together at Chick fil-a and ate dinner and played in the play area. This was a treat for Kaylee since she has not gotten to play in that area that much! She loved it of course and of course loved the balloon that she got there as well!

Over the past 3 years Julia and I have gotten together at least every other week if not every week to let the kids play together! I have enjoyed her friendship and how close our children have gotten to each other. We have done many things together over the years like put our kids in a little gym together.......
gone to many parks, malls play areas, and anywhere we can possibly think of to get out some energy!
We have gone to each others houses and let the kids run rampid .....
We have put the kids in swim lessons together and have enjoyed each others company while our children play together! She has taught me many things about being a mom, wife, and friend! We will miss them dearly!
Jasmine and Brody on our last playdate...... at least until they come and visit!!!!!

Good friends are hard to come by. We can learn so much from them about who we are as well as who they are. I am glad that J. has been a part of your life as well as the kids. She will be missed. Great pics of the kids. Love the tent. Great idea!
Cute pics from your past playdates. I can't believe how fast kids grow up! Brody looks so grown up! Love the silly faces that Brody makes for the camera. That's nice that you have so many pictures of Jasmine and Brody together. Brody will like looking at those pics of his special friend when he is older. Hopefully your families can get together and visit often.
I know you were sad to see them go. Good memories. Jasmine's hair has gotten so long and pretty. Brody cracks me up with his silly faces. Seeing pictures of him when he was younger really makes you realize how much he has grown up. (sniff, sniff). ;) We made a tent at our house today too! So fun!
Ha, ha ~ we've been making forts lately here as well! I love the fascination that goes along w/ a sheet or two hanging above some chairs/furniture...it's classic!
...so sorry that your good friends moved away. It always hurts so much, but I'll be praying that the Lord brings another friend into your life that lives in town & will play just as important a role in your life (& Brody's) as J & J did. Wish we lived closer!!!
